A. How Much Does Zuhair Murad Wedding Dress Cost? The Couture Edition!
We can’t believe that, on the last day of our peek at price tags, we will be after some of the most sought after wedding dress designers in the world. On Tuesday, we showed you the best places to find a wedding dress for less than $ 1,000. Yesterday was about medium dresses, with some really stunning dresses that are worth saving. But today it is about throwing the budget out the window. (Or very, very difficult to save!)
We’re talking about the big leagues! Vera Wang, Zuhair Murad, Elie Saab and Oscar De La Renta, to name a few (to be discarded!). Some of their prices are surprisingly good, while others can make you falter. But if you have an infinite budget for your wedding dress (lucky you!), These are the stylists to spend it on.
1. Tips for rocking a great budget wedding dress
From dresses with more layers than an onion to silhouettes that wrap around the body, from chantilly lace to smooth silk with a sea of pearls … endless possibilities don’t make it easy to find your wedding dress, but it does make it a little more fun!
Make the most of the splash with our tips on how to find (and rock) the dress of your dreams.
- Never feel guilty about how much you spent on the wedding dress. (It’s none of our business, too!) Whether your dress was a gift, you plan to resell it later or, if you just loved it, you can buy it. Have your wedding dress on your day, you deserve it!
- Just because you have a big budget doesn’t mean you have to blow it up. Choose the dress that looks and looks the most beautiful to you, not the one with the highest price.
Buying an expensive wedding dress does not mean that you have to go for elaborate embroidery, a large dress or many pearls. Instead, if your tastes are simpler, invest in a designer who focuses on beautiful, good-fitting fabrics. Lauren from Juno & Joy gave us this tip, and it’s very good. If you think you want a big white dress, try the biggest dress in the store first to get an idea of what it looks like to you. After that, it is much easier to measure the volume that fits your shape and is comfortable.
Have fun with the accessories, you don’t need to spend your entire budget on your dress. Spread it on jewelry trinkets, elegant covers and incredible heels. Two dresses can be better than one. If you’ve ever dreamed of a princess-worthy wedding dress, but know it won’t be cut on the dance floor, leave a little space for dress number two – something fun, sexy and totally dancing.
2. Expert advice to find the wedding dress of your dreams
- Our wedding dress guru, Sama Hemsley, manager and chief stylist at the Blackburn Bridal bridal boutique, is back with tips to help you find her dream wedding dress.
- Is there a certain percentage of the total wedding budget that you should allocate for the dress?
- Oh no, there are no rules at all. What is not remotely important to one person is more important in the world to another person. So what you want and are willing to pay for a dress is very personal.
- As a guide, the UK average is probably around £ 1,000-1500 ($ 1,500-2200), but at Blackburn Bridal (an independent designer boutique) the average spend is close to £ 2,500-1,000 ($ 3,700- 4500).
- Then there is haute couture that can pay you up to £ 10,000 or more! It is about what is reasonable and doable for you.
3. Which designers would you suggest for a bride with an unlimited budget?
Well, the world is your oyster!I think that personal style has to come down to that again – just because you’re on a Vera Wang haute couture budget doesn’t mean you want a Vera Wang haute couture dress. Browse some bridal magazines, write down the dresses that inspire you and try on, lucky you!
