Costume Ideas For an ABC Party – Where Anything But Clothes – Goes

If you want everyone to come to your costume party in costume, here’s a safe way to do it. Throw an ABC party. ABC means everything but clothes. The problem with many costume parties these days is that the theme is often very restrictive and many people don’t come because they don’t have a costume with the given theme. It can be a bit more difficult to get good attendance at your party when the possibilities of the attendees are so limited. The solution is an ABC party.

Imagine being invited to an Anything But Clothes costume party! The costume ideas are endless, if you go to your garage you will find the tape, toolboxes, boogie boards, cardboard, paint, and the list goes on. Personally, I think a costume made entirely of tape would win the best costume for the Garage category.

For those who have a costume box – points! – everything in it will be exceptional! You could have a band for the prom queen, a chicken mask, a hat, and a pair of high heels. All this would be totally and completely acceptable and expected at an ABC party. The beauty of an ABC party is that it leaves a lot to the imagination of the person wearing it. You can be anything, and that gives the partygoer a lot of room for creativity.

Another idea would be to use a liquid latex cover, then add a jet of ember to the dark body color, put on a costume wig, a pair of costume umbrellas, and a crazy hat. Who knows what you really are, but who cares – it’s an ABC party after all.

More fun ideas for your next ABC party, now that you’re really excited about it:

Saran Wrap – One roll should be enough
Stamps. A bit expensive, I know. But I’m sure you’d be unique.
Stickers of any kind – you know you have a collection of them from your childhood, use them well!
Band-Aids – everyone has them in the bathroom cabinet
Gauze – Maybe a boring and uncreative one – but think of Mom… or sexy mom?
Cotton balls – think of the marshmallow man
Foliage – False or real – How about Adam and Eve?
Tar and feathers – This is only for the dedicated ABC party participant
Tinfoil – Sexy tin girl or tin man!
Surfboard bag – not sure how you would make your face to be the fin – maybe some cardboard and some eye holes
There you go. A series of fantastic ideas for the times we live in. Remember that the costume party MUST go on! To get the maximum amount of creativity and individualism from your partygoers, keep the party theme very open and have an ABC costume party this weekend. Anything but clothes goes.
