Women’s Fitness Apparel – Choosing the Right Workout Clothes for Your Body

Why it is important

Most of us already know that we feel safer when we look good. This feeling definitely applies to our workout clothes – a nice outfit will help you work harder and encourage you to keep working towards your fitness goals.

The right support

Girls with larger breasts will want to look for support tops that have more support:

1) Adjustable back hooks and wide shoulder straps, similar to your regular bras

2) Removable inner cups for more support

3) A fuller cover around to keep everything in place. Unfortunately, you’ll have to invest a little more money than ladies with smaller breasts to ensure that your lovely ladies have support and pleasure.

Don’t forget the support below! Watch out for the lower parts that lift the buttocks and compress the thighs. Not only will you feel great when you run, but your lower half will look fantastic too.

Length is crucial

Pay attention to the length of your upper and lower parts. Summits that are too short will slide up when running or walking downhill, but summits that are too long will emphasize the extra curves in the middle and end up being even less flexible than shorter summits. Especially if you have more curves, look for the bumpers that end just above the widest part of the hips and slightly below the top of the pants.

At the bottom of your pants, try to avoid pants with a very slight tilt (just below the navel is flattering in most ways) and look for wider belts to keep your tummy tamed. If you prefer long pants (ideal for yoga and gymnastics), a slightly flared leg is flattering in all shapes. If you prefer shorter pants (great for running, biking, and most sports), a tight-fitting Capri will keep your thighs compressed while giving your calves an extra breeze. If you’re not sure about your legs, stay away from tight-fitting full-length legs. Also avoid loose capris, which only make your thighs seem bulkier.

Performance-enhancing fabrics

Thanks to innovative technological advances in recent years, you now have the opportunity to find training clothing that incorporates the latest technologies in all the different price categories. The most relevant technologies are 1) fabrics that transport moisture, 2) antibacterial finishes and 3) more durable fabrics in polyester and nylon blends. Although cotton T-shirts have recently been produced, Under Armour became a great success when they proclaimed “Cotton is the enemy”. The reason for this is that the sweat on cotton feels heavy and weighs you down, while some of the new moisture-regulating fabrics pull the sweat away from the skin and evaporate quickly so you can go further and further and further.

The best news is that you no longer have to pay a fortune for these new performance-enhancing technologies.

Be forgiving

Be kind to your body and choose the styles that best suit your shape. When you are aware of your upper body, choose upperparts that are more fluid or have a slight widening. Regardless of your size, you should stay away from tops and bottoms that are too tight, otherwise, you could create undue roles that you don’t even have! Also, make sure you have a comfortable range of motion – try out different positions for stretching, jumping, etc. in the changing room before you buy.

Miss Versatile

Choose versatile clothes that look as good in the gym as they do on your weekend errands or at a casual brunch with the girls. Not only will you make sure you don’t end up wearing kitschy colors and prints that you wouldn’t normally encounter on the street, but you’ll be able to justify spending a little more on your workout clothes because you’ll get a bigger bang for your buck.

Finally, don’t forget to have fun with your workout clothes, just like your street clothes – getting fit and healthy is a lifestyle, so treat your workout clothes with the same care and attention as the rest of your wardrobe – your body will thank you!
